The Washington Nationals clinched the National League East on Monday night and it was just incredible. With a 96-64 record at the time, they were tied for the best record in baseball (a distinction they held for most of the 2012 season). While the clinch itself was fairly anticlimactic (both the Nationals and the second place team, the Atlanta Braves lost which mathematically eliminated the Braves from catching up in the two remaining games) the celebration that followed was anything but. These guys worked hard, played well and deserved their division win. And if you disagree and are here to say they won by losing…
well suck it… you’re totally entitled to your opinion but you’re wrong and that’s ok.
Big thanks to everyone who continues to follow me on Twitter despite my insane baseball tweets (I always lose a good handful of followers during baseball season).
Who’s ready for October baseball?!
