I’ve decided to change it up a little and post some of my favorite things from the week on Friday.
Cookie free January is still going strong and after 3 days is starting to get a little easier. I’m not going to lie, the first few nights I was dying for a cookie…I told my boyfriend I’d probably kill him/sell him to drug dealers for some Oreos. My big concern was not eating cookies but instead subbing out the sugar cravings for something else, like ice cream or brownies, which wasn’t really the point. So for the past 4 days I have cut out all sweets. This is totally different than cutting out sugar – I’m not avoiding sugar or products with sugar, but I am avoiding foods that have no nutritional value or purpose (other than to fill a sugar craving). How am I surviving?
On a mix of Quaker Oat Squares and Pineapple Chobani. Those are really the only foods I’m eating with sugars during the day and they’re both so delicious. In case you’re wondering, I did stick to only getting a bagel for breakfast once this week. Week 1 has been good!
I’ve also been enjoying Sabra Spice Guacamole as a snack (with some tortilla chips) in the evening. That stuff is GOOD!
